Beleaguered Castle The objective of Beleaguered Castle solitaire is to erode the "wall" stacks on the sides of the layout by placing their contents in the suit stacks in the middle. (Beleaguered Castle can be considered "FreeCell without free cells", but card stacks do not need to have alternating colors and the aces are already removed to compensate (partially) for the lack.) J Solitaire Calculation While Calculation has the usual goal of arranging the entire contents of the deck in four stacks of thirteen cards, the suits of the cards in these stacks is irrelevant. Instead, the four stacks accept cards whose ranks differ by a specified interval. Even though the computer calculates the accepted sequences of cards, the game is still extremely challenging. J Solitaire Klondike The goal of Klondike solitaire is to place all the cards in each suit in stacks of ascending rank. Stacks of cards with alternating colors in descending rank can be built in the bottom half of the screen as an intermediate step. Added on: 09-Aug-2004 | hits: 1 Report broken link | Details
J Solitaire Spider Spider is a challenging (and time-consuming) game using two decks which was supposedly the favorite solitaire of FDR. While Spider has the usual objective of arranging all suits in order, Spider does not provide a stack for each suit to be assembled in. Instead, the suits must be ordered in the building stacks and are then moved to a discard pile. The game is won when all cards in both decks are in the discard pile. Stacks in Spider can be built with any suit, but multiple cards moved between stacks must all have the same suit. Several non-standard options have been implemented to make the game less daunting for beginners. Added on: 09-Aug-2004 | hits: 0 Report broken link | Details

JSolitaire Canfield Like Klondike solitaire, the goal of Canfield is to move all the cards in a deck to suit stacks of ascending rank, forming stacks of descending rank an alternate color as an intermediate stage. Cards are drawn from a deck three at a time. Unlike Klondike, the base card of the suit stacks is usually not an ace. In addition to the deck, 13 cards are placed in a reserve of which only the top is accessible. Added on: 09-Aug-2004 | hits: 1 Report broken link | Details
JSolitaire Clock Instead of placing all cards in the deck in suit stacks, the goal in clock solitaire is to move every card to a pile corresponding to its rank. The deck at the center of the layout is considered the "hand", while the other twelve stacks represent the numbers of a clock face. The card on the top of the center stack is turned up and is moved to the stack corresponding to its rank. Jacks are at the 11 o'clock position, queens at 12 o'clock, aces at 1 o'clock, and the kings is at the center. The moved card is placed face up at the bottom of its new stack, and the card at the top of the receiving stack is turned over and moved to is appropriate stack. This continues until all four kings have been found or the game is won. Clock solitaire is entirely mechanical with victory solely determined by the shuffle. JSolitaire Flower Garden There are three areas of the screen:
Building Stacks / Garden Columns The six building stacks are found in the bottom half of the screen and represent the columns of the "garden". The building stacks accept cards in descending rank regardless of suit. Any card can be placed in an empty building stack.
Reserve / Bouquet The reserve, or "bouquet" is located in the top row of the layout and contains the 16 cards which are not in the building stacks. Any card in the reserve is accessible, not just the topmost.
Suit Stacks The suits stacks are located on the left and right sides of the layout. Added on: 09-Aug-2004 | hits: 1 Report broken link | Details
